CR Sahara Gold is a 1995 buckskin mare by Arabian stallion Minq and out of Half-Arabian mare CR Flash of Gold. Her dam was also buckskin and so far with our studies of color crosses we have found that a buckskin, when crossed to a black, will most likely produce buckskin or bay.

Sahara has produced three Half Friesian foals for us: Sahara’s Desert King (2002), Golden Knight (2003) and Savannah Knight (2004). Sahara will be bred back to Friesian Stallion Knight Invader for a 2006 buckskin foal. You can view siblings of this in-utero foal on our Sales and Ranch News pages.

Her lines trace back to *Witez II and *Raffles, both whom are proven performance stallions. She also has several relatives who are currently successful in both endurance and western pleasure horses.

This mare is extremely personable and loves to "talk" to us. She is a very quick and agile athlete (even while pregnant). She can spin on a dime and do a sliding stop like a reining horse. So far this mare has proven to throw a lot of size and color with Knight Invader of Knight Magic Farm in Georgetown, CA.
