Sweet Basil "Sweetie" is a 1989
CMK/Polish Broodmare. She is an Abu Farwa granddaughter, and bred from
performance lines. Her sire, Overlook Farwa, was a champion cutting horse,
both in Arab & open shows, beating out Quarter Horses. Her maternal
grandsire, Essaul*, was a champion on the track in Sweden. Sweetie has
had two foals, a 2002 foal sired by SVR Bucephalos, and a 1997 foal,
sired by Rabba Baron. Her 1997 foal, Mountain Dancer, has proven to be
a successful 100-mile endurance horse, with a top-ten in an FEI 100-mile
ride and was recently sold overseas to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al
Maktoum to compete in UAE endurance races. Sweetie is a very chunky 15+
hands high, and with her build would very easily carry a heavy-wt. rider.
She is not broke to ride, but has been saddled and had a rider sit on
her back. As her name says, Sweetie has a very friendly, sweet personality.
She foaled a colt this past June by FV Concorde Gezzan, a straight CMK
Stallion with 4 lines to Abu Farwa and is son of Western Pleasure National
Champion, Concorde Gezan. Sweetie sells in foal to FV Concorde Gezan
for the price of the breeding fee only. Sweetie is currently located
in Northeast California, 45 miles No. of Reno, NV but can be arranged
to be transported to our ranch for a scheduled visitation. Contact Karen
