Welcome to Cross W Sport Horses
Dedicated to breeding quality Friesian Arabian crosses
and Arabian Sport Horses

Cross W Sport Horses' primary focus and experience lies in the "endurance type" horse. We have nearly 20 years experience in the sport and decided to use our background to develop a strategic "sport horse" breeding program crossing some of our Arabian mares to a Friesian stallion. Our horses are selectively bred for balance, presence, good bone, straight legs, trainability, extension of trot and conformation able to withstand the demands of top level endurance competition.

We have found that due to the conformational demands of the sport, Friesian Arabian crosses should also excel in the disciplines of dressage and other sport horse areas of competition. All of our horses are raised in a pasture and herd environment where they develop the strong straight legs that are inherent of their genes and reinforced by their room to roam.

Our ranch was developed through much research and mentoring in order to be able to produce a horse for the performance sports with an emphasis on endurance riding.

EnduranceOur horses are bred to be able to be consistent top contenders that are structurally built to last for long term soundness. After studying the excellent conformation typical of the Friesian breed along with their ideal temperament and trainability we discovered the emergence of the "sport-type" Friesian horse. We have found this to be an ideal cross with the Arabian horse for a solid performance horse prospect.

Due to life changes and schedule I am taking a break from breeding. I do still however have access to two wonderful purebred Arabian mares who are available for leasing should you wish to create a Friesian Arabian cross. This will enable more time for me to develop some crosses under saddle and promote this crossbred. Most of my time will be spent focusing on endurance racing and dressage competition.

Happy Trails!
